Getting Started with Organizer

Welcome to Organizer! We hope it’s already helped you take control of your inbox. This post will help you understand how Organizer works and how to tune it just right for you. If you’ve found a bug or have a question not covered here, let us know. Our team is ready to help.

Organizer Basics

Organizer automatically sorts and prioritizes your email so you can focus on what’s most important to you. Receipts, newsletters, notices from social apps, updates from your favorite brands, and more are organized into folders. This way, your inbox stays free from clutter, but you can still find these low-priority emails easily. Remember, Organizer never deletes an email or flags email as spam. It simply organizes your inbox for you all day, every day.

Daily Digest

Every day, you’ll receive the Daily Digest, an email summarizing what’s been organized for you recently. A quick glance and you’re set. Your summarized emails are even grouped by type to make it easy to scan for what’s important to you, such as social networking or travel.

Folders

You’ll notice that your Organizer folders are found inside the OIB folder (or label, for our Gmail friends). That stands for OtherInbox, the people (that’s us!) behind Organizer and other apps that make email better. You can learn more about us here.

Organizer determines the destination for each email and sorts it into the best folder. If you want to see all of your receipts, coupons, or shopping emails, for example, just click the specific folder. If you want to see all of your organized emails in one place, you’ll find them in the OIB folder.

Improving Organizer

One of the best things about Organizer is it just works. Even new additions to your inbox are automatically organized for you and included in your Daily Digest.

Organizer is tuned perfectly for most, but there are powerful customization options under the hood. You can choose which senders to organize, which folder to use, and which Organizer emails you want to receive. The next post, “Making Organizer even better”, will tell you how.
